Please keep this information for your records and information: Date: October 1st Time: 9 a.m. Location: Lake Hollywood Park 3160 Canyon Lake Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068 Where to meet: We will meet in front of this sign which is on Canyon Lake drive at the entrance to the park. See picture of sign: https://www.laparks.org/sites/default/files/facility/lake-hollywood-park/images/lake-hollywood-park-6.jpg What time to arrive: arrive by 8:50AM so we can start at 9:00AM Where to park: There is plenty of free parking on Canyon Lake drive. Note that Canyon Lake drive is on a steep hill. The hike: If you want to see a preview video of what the hike is like you can take a look on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1xDZYdttbE (In the video, they go to the observatory after the Hollywood sign but we will not be doing that. We will head to the Hollywood sign and come back down to Lake Hollywood Park). Supplies needed: It gets quite warm so please bring water since there are no water fountains on the way up. Also, please bring appropriate shoes. Even though it is mostly on concrete it helps to have proper traction. There is not a lot of shade on the way up so I would suggest a hat and sunglasses.
